Praticamente ieri ci siamo scambiati gli auguri di Natale che eccoci qui sommersi di uova di cioccolata e profumo di Pastiera. E quest’anno per la prima volta nella mia vita (e chi mi conosce sa che si tratta di una mancanza ingiustificabile nella lista dei miei manicaretti) mi cimenterò nella più classica delle tradizioni della mia meravigliosa terra.
Seems yesterday we exchanged Christmas greetings and now here we are inundated with chocolate eggs and the scent of Pastiera. And this year, for the first time in my life (and who knows me knows that this is an inexcusable absence in the list of my dishes), I will attempt in one of the most classical traditions of my beautiful country.
Qualche giorno fa leggevo la leggenda, raccontata dal grandissimo Luciano Pignataro sul suo blog, per la quale sembra che la Pastiera, fosse il risultato di un miracoloso evento. Qui potete leggere sia la ricetta che la storia… Io intanto mi procuro gli ingredienti e nel pomeriggio mi dedico a questa dolce e profumata leccornia!
A Few days ago I read the legend, told by the great Luciano Pignataro on his blog, for whom it seems that the Pastiera was the result of a miraculous event. Per fortuna ho il tempo di dedicarmi a qualcosa di rilassante in questi giorni. Aprile è un mese tranquillo in cui riesco a rilassarmi un po’ dopo la frenesia degli scorsi mesi… E’ quasi tutto organizzato per i matrimoni imminenti e tra poco più di un mese si va in scena con il primo evento… e dopo aver lavorato ininterrottamente per i miei sposi ed aver superato tutti quei piccoli ostacoli che sono nati nei vari mesi, ora posso concedermi un po’ di tempo per me!
Luckily I have the time to dedicate myself to something relaxing these days. April is a quiet month in which I can relax myself a little bit, after the frenzy of the last few months… Everything is almost organized for the upcoming weddings and in a month we will be on stage with the first event… and after working continuously for my newly weddings and have passed all those little obstacles faced in the last months, now I can take some time for me.
Ho iniziato già dalla settimana scorsa trascorrendo qualche giorno a Londra (mio amore per mille motivi), che è stata occasione per me di andare girovagando per la città, che ormai conosco come le mie tasche, e di trovare novità interessantissime del mondo del wedding! Ho parlato con moltissime persone e ho preso i contatti giusti per un’idea futura che è nella mia testolina già da qualche tempo… Ma si tratta di cose molto impegnative che hanno bisogno di tempo per essere analizzate, assorbite e infine, solo dopo accurate riflessioni, attuate! Ma sono già ad un punto davvero interessante!
I started last week spending few days in London (my citylove for many reasons), which was an opportunity for me to go wandering around the city, that I know like my pockets, as well as find interesting news from the weddings world. I spoke with many people and I got the right contacts for a future idea that is in my little head from a long time… Those are highly challenging things, that needs time to be analyzed, absorbed and, only after accurate reflections, implemented! But I’m already at a really good point.
Londra mi ha accolta con un clima meraviglioso e la Primavera già in corso. Le mie camminate interminabili erano accompagnate da profumi e colori che mi hanno molto ispirata! E la mia mattinata trascorsa in Elizabeth St a Belgravia mia ha riempito gli occhi! La gioielleria luxury di Jenny Packham è stata una vera goduria!! Ed una delle mie sposine, in diretta con me al telefono, ha scelto la sua decorazione da applicare ai capelli!
London welcomed me with a wonderful climate and Spring already in the air. My endless walks were accompanied by scents and colors that inspired me! And my morning spent in Elizabeth St in Belgravia filled my eyes! The luxury jewelry Jenny Packham has been a real pleasure! And one of my brides, live with me on the phone, chose her hair decoration.
Una sera sono andata nel locale più cool di Londra, Sketch! In questo bar/ristorante si svolgono le serate dei personaggi più in vista della città, come quelle della event planner Pippa Middleton, sorella della duchessa Kate, che grazie al successo ricevuto dopo il matrimonio della sorella con il Principe William ( o forse per il suo famoso lato B messo in mostra proprio il giorno del matrimonio) ha scritto anche un libro “CELEBRATE: A Year of British Festivities for Families and Friends”. O altri personaggi meno noti ma incredibilmente SOCIALITE, per dirlo alla loro maniera. Il posto, oltre ad essere bellissimo e servire cocktail eccezionali, mi ha colpita per i bagni più assurdi che abbia mai visto!
One evening I went into the coolest London bar: Sketch! In this bar/restaurant spend their evenings the most influential people in London such as the event planner Pippa Middleton – sister of Duchess Kate – who, thanks to the success received after her sister’s wedding to Prince William (or perhaps because her famous B-side), also written a book “CELEBRATE: A Year of British Festivities for Families and Friends”. Or other characters less known but incredibly SOCIALITE, to say it in their own way. The place, over the beauty and the unique cocktails served, hit me for his WC, absolutely the most absurd toilette I’ve ever seen.
Da Liberty ho trovato delle deliziose decorazioni pasquali che metterò in casa, ma per gli amici ho preso delle deliziose mini-box con ovetti di cioccolato piccolissimi, colorati e rassomiglianti alle uova di quaglia!
In the “Liberty” shop I found some delicious Easter decorations that I will use at home but, for my friends I bought some delicious mini-box with small chocolate eggs, colored and resembling the quail eggs!
Il mio inglese si fa sempre più fluente, grazie alla fitta corrispondenza con Ashley e ai viaggi di quest’anno, ma per migliorare ancora ho acquistato un libro in inglese che non poteva non riguardare il mio mondo! Dal titolo potete capire da voi che si tratta di una guerra tra spose e mi auguro vivamente di non trovarne mai di così cattive, ma il libro è molto divertente e da molti spunti interessanti. Proprio per questo ho deciso di provare a scrivere qualche post in inglese come avevo promesso!
My english is becoming more fluent, thanks to correspondence with Ashley (one of my american bride) and my travel but, for improve myself, I bought an english book related to my world. From the title you can understand that is about a brides-war and I very much hope not to find anyone like this but the book is a great fun and gives me many interesting ideas. That’s why I decided to try to write few posts in English as I promised months ago!
